Ecaterina Komarnitsky, MD

Dr. Ecaterina Komarnitsky (aka Dr. K) is a board-certified Family Medicine physician with fellowship training in Integrative Medicine. Her interest in metabolic health began in 2008 while working with the Endocrinology Department at Mount Sinai. She used continuous glucose monitors to study metabolic patterns, which sparked her passion for exploring how lifestyle, nutrition, and environment affect health.

Born in Moldova and raised in New York, she grew up in a family that valued both herbal remedies and conventional medicine. This background shaped her early appreciation for integrative care. She studied Biomolecular Science at New York University and earned her medical degree from the American University of Antigua College of Medicine.

Dr. Komarnitsky completed her Family Medicine residency at Mohawk Valley Health System in Utica, New York, where she served as Chief Resident. She then pursued fellowship training in Integrative Medicine at the Institute for Family Health – Mount Sinai program.

Her clinical focus includes longevity, metabolic health, gut health, and women’s wellness. At The Morrison Center, she combines conventional medicine with nutrition, botanicals, and mind-body therapies. She helps patients uncover root causes of illness while caring for the whole person — mind, body, and spirit. Her goal is to make every patient feel heard, empowered, and supported in achieving long-term vitality.
